Best death of a child
You see, there are some topics that most shows in the US wouldn't even touch, and one of them is a kid dying or killing himself. Even when it is touched upon it's seen as a horrible murder or kidnapping. However, anime goes into that area that america thinks we shouldn't go into. There's this scene where the main good character is sent to asassinate this guy who attempted to kill his friend, but when he does so, the man's son sees him. so what does our hero then proceed to do? that's right, run a sword through the 10 year old. it was just so damn cool. So the award for best child death goes to Berserk

The "What the F*#k is that?" award
sometimes in anime there are some things where you look at, pause it for a moment and ask yourself, "now what could he possibly be holding in his hand?" because the camera angle's off or something. however, once in a while you get something so ridiculous such as the iron from FLCL that you just turn your head and go, "what the......" and think for hours trying to discover what this is. the winner for this has to be, without a doubt, Sesshomaru's fluffy thing on his shoulder from inuyasha. i'm 60 episodes into the show and i STILL have no idea what the hell it is! so here you go sesshomaru, here's your golden pocky box. now maybe you can fill us in on what the hell that is?
